Both Sandfields wards, East and West come under the Communities First Scheme. The programme seeks to ensure that the funds and support available from the Welsh Assembly Goverment and other public sector agencies are targeted at these areas in order for them to become more prosperous and to provide more opportunities for those living in and around these area's.
